Missing Hiker in Big Bend National Park

Authorities are currently searching for a 25-year-old woman who failed to appear for a camping reservation at Big Bend National Park.

The National Park Service has reported that Christy Perry rented a car in Midland, Texas on November 8. The vehicle was later found parked at the trailhead for Big Bend's Lost Mine trail on November 9. However, Perry did not show up for her scheduled camping reservation at the park's Chisos Basin Campground on the same day.

Perry, described as a Korean woman with brown hair and brown eyes, stands at approximately five feet and two inches tall, weighing around 100 pounds. The National Park Service has released a flyer asking anyone who may have spotted her while hiking the Lost Mine trail on November 8 or 9 to get in touch with them.

If you have any information regarding Christy Perry's whereabouts, please contact the National Park Service immediately.

Park Officials Conduct Search for Missing Hiker

Park officials and law enforcement agencies have launched a search operation for a missing hiker on the Lost Mine trail in Big Bend National Park, Texas. The search began on November 15, with park rangers and U.S. Border Patrol Agents scouring the area on foot while a National Park Service airplane surveyed from above. On Thursday, the search was expanded to include Texas Game Wardens, local fire crews, and two helicopters from the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Border Patrol.

In order to facilitate an efficient and quick search, the Lost Mine trail has been temporarily closed to the public, according to park officials.
