Canelo Alvarez Responds to Critics

During an interview with Fight Hub, Canelo Alvarez confidently stated that he will not succumb to any pressure. In essence, those advocating for the undisputed super middleweight champion to take on fierce challenger David Benavidez will not sway his resolve. "They always have something to say about me," Canelo remarked regarding his critics. "If you look at my record, I have faced everyone, so I have no words for those people. They will never comprehend that." While a showdown between Canelo and Benavidez would undoubtedly excite fans and elevate the sport, Canelo believes he has earned the privilege to select his opponents at this stage of his career.

Canelo Alvarez Talks Future Fights and Mexican Heritage

During a recent interview, Canelo Alvarez expressed his confidence and freedom in choosing his opponents. "I can do whatever I want at this time," he stated. "I deserve it because I did everything in my career and I deserve being in this position and I’m going to do with whatever I want."

When asked about the possibility of facing Benavidez at a catch weight, Canelo referred to it as a "lose, lose situation," fearing criticism for the outcome. However, he seemed more open to a rematch with WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol, whom he faced a few years back. "That fight I would love to have," Canelo expressed.

Currently, Canelo is gearing up for a fight with the undefeated Jaime Munguia on Cinco De Mayo Weekend in Las Vegas. "I think this fight with Jaime is going to be very important to Mexicans," Canelo shared, emphasizing the significance of the bout for his country.

Both Canelo and Munguia are known for their punching power, hinting at an explosive showdown at the T-Mobile Arena on May 4th. "He (Munguia) comes in with the mentality to give everything to win, and I’m the same. I think its going to be a really good fight," Canelo predicted.

With a love for intense battles, Canelo expressed his excitement for the upcoming fight. "I always love to be involved in a war," he admitted.
