Experience a new way to breeze through airport security with the Transportation Security Administration's PreCheck program.
Clear, a leading private identity screening company, is now offering enrollment for TSA PreCheck at selected airports nationwide. This partnership marks Clear as the third company to join forces with the TSA in expanding enrollment options for travelers deemed low-risk.
Prior to this collaboration, Telos and Idemia were the exclusive enrollment providers for TSA PreCheck, which was introduced in 2013 and currently boasts over 19 million members. Participants in the program enjoy access to a dedicated security line, the privilege of leaving on their shoes and jackets, as well as keeping laptops and liquids in their bags. According to TSA data, wait times in PreCheck lanes are typically less than 10 minutes, a significant improvement over the 30-minute average wait in standard lanes.
"The TSA PreCheck trusted traveler program streamlines the security process for vetted, low-risk passengers," stated TSA Administrator David Pekoske. "The addition of more enrollment providers simplifies the enrollment process for the public and enhances the overall travel experience."
CEO of Clear, Caryn Seidman-Becker, highlighted that the company's enrollment services aim to offer travelers a "swift and efficient airport experience."
"The expansion of TSA PreCheck enrollment services is a positive development for U.S. travelers, providing them with more options for enrollment locations and extended hours," a spokesperson mentioned.
Enrolling in TSA PreCheck costs $77.95, with Idemia charging $78 and Telos charging $85 for their enrollment services.
Locations for Enrollment
Clear now offers TSA PreCheck enrollment and renewal services at three different U.S. airports.
Travelers can complete their enrollment in-person at Orlando International Airport, Sacramento International Airport, or Newark Liberty International Airport. The membership is valid for five years.
