Former Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney Warns of the Consequences of a Trump Presidency
In a recent interview with CBS News Sunday Morning, former Republican Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney expressed her concerns about the potential consequences of a Donald Trump presidency. Cheney believes that if Trump is re-elected, it will mark the end of the republic.
During the interview, Cheney discussed her alarm at how comfortable her party has become with Trump and his lies. She also touched on various political topics, including her career, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, and her new book titled "Oath and Honor: A Memoir and a Warning".
Cheney's interview with John Dickerson will be broadcast on December 3 and can be streamed on Paramount+.
Excerpts from the Interview:
JOHN DICKERSON: You say, Donald Trump, if he is re-elected, it will be the end of the Republic. What do you mean?
Rep. Liz Cheney has expressed her concerns about the actions of Donald Trump and his collaborators. She believes that Trump's plans cannot be executed without the help of others, and Mike Johnson is one such collaborator. Cheney argues that Johnson is fully aware that his actions are wrong, but he is willing to please Trump at the expense of the country's well-being.
During an interview, John Dickerson asked Cheney if she believes the Speaker of the House is collaborating to overthrow the last election, to which Cheney responded affirmatively.
