Despite facing closure, it seems that Jezebel, the feminist publication, will continue to exist.

Jezebel was previously shut down by its parent company, G/O Media, due to financial constraints. The CEO, Jim Spanfeller, stated that despite interest from 24 potential buyers, they were unable to find one for the publication. However, there has been a recent development.

Paste Magazine made an announcement on Wednesday that they will be acquiring Jezebel and preparing for its relaunch.

"We're excited to announce that Paste Magazine has acquired and will soon be reviving Jezebel, the influential media platform known for its empowering content for women," the magazine stated in an article on their website. "When we learned that this iconic site was closing down, we acted swiftly to try and save it."

Jackson, a representative from Paste Magazine, revealed to the Associated Press that they secured an all-cash deal to purchase Jezebel and that the site would resume publishing as early as this week. He also mentioned that former Jezebel staff members would be given priority during the hiring process.

Paste Magazine has announced its acquisition of popular feminist website Jezebel. The founder and editor-in-chief of Paste, Josh Jackson, expressed excitement about the addition of Jezebel to their portfolio, stating that Jezebel's unique voice and commitment to storytelling align perfectly with Paste's mission. The relaunch of Jezebel under Paste's ownership will prioritize preserving its editorial independence and distinctive voice. The collaboration aims to provide audiences with a richer and more comprehensive perspective on culture, entertainment, and the world at large.

In addition to the acquisition of Jezebel, Paste Magazine has also acquired politics site Splinter, which was previously shut down by G/O Media in 2019. Paste plans to relaunch Splinter in time for the 2024 presidential election, offering comprehensive political coverage.
