Elon Musk, the billionaire owner of X expressed concerns that the decision made by certain major advertisers to distance themselves from the social media platform (formerly known as Twitter) could have a detrimental impact on the company's future.

"And the whole world will know that those advertisers killed the company," Musk emphasized during his appearance at The New York Times' Dealbook Summit.

Musk also responded defiantly to Disney CEO Bob Iger's decision to halt advertising on X after Musk supported an antisemitic comment on the platform. Iger stated that Disney "felt that the association was not necessarily a positive one for us."

Musk's response to Iger was direct and confrontational: "Go f--- yourself, is that clear? I hope it is. Hey Bob, if you're in the audience. That's how I feel. Don't advertise."

The advertising backlash occurred earlier this month when Musk tweeted in support of a post on X that propagated antisemitic stereotypes, claiming that Jews were responsible for fomenting hatred against White people.

Several major companies, including Disney, Apple, and Coca Cola, have decided to withdraw their paid advertisements from the platform. This move could potentially result in X losing up to $75 million in revenue, as reported by The New York Times.

On Wednesday, Elon Musk publicly expressed regret for his support of an antisemitic post on X, calling it "one of the most foolish" posts he has ever made. He admitted that he should not have replied to that particular post.
