Shannen Doherty refuses to lose hope even after revealing that her stage 4 breast cancer has spread to her bones.

In an exclusive interview with People Magazine, the 52-year-old actress shared that she remains optimistic despite the progression of her cancer. Doherty expressed her determination to continue pursuing her acting career, raising awareness for cancer research, and reflecting on the bigger picture of her life.

"I have no intentions of giving up," Doherty declared.

The renowned actor from "Charmed" and "Beverly Hills, 90210" expressed her desire to participate in clinical trials for new treatments as they become available. However, her current motivation lies in proving that she can still work despite her cancer diagnosis.

"I haven't finished living," she emphasized to People. "I haven't finished loving. I haven't finished creating. I haven't finished hopefully making positive changes. I'm simply not done."

Doherty, a well-known actress, has been battling cancer for almost ten years. She was initially diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 after her dog Bowie started sniffing her side obsessively. The cancer later spread to her lymph nodes, leading her to undergo chemotherapy and radiation treatments. She went into remission in 2017 but unfortunately, her tumor markers became elevated in 2018. In 2020, Doherty revealed that her cancer had returned as stage 4, meaning it had spread beyond its original location. She recently shared in an emotional video that the cancer has also spread to her brain, and she is currently undergoing radiation.

In an interview, Doherty expressed her frustration with how cancer patients are often treated and perceived. She emphasized that having cancer does not mean one is incapable of living a fulfilling life. She believes that cancer patients, like herself, are still vibrant and have a different outlook on life. Doherty remains optimistic and is relying on her faith to navigate through this challenging time.
