Investigation into Alleged Improper Relationship Involving NBA Player

The National Basketball Association (NBA) has announced that it is currently investigating an accusation regarding an improper relationship involving Oklahoma City Thunder guard, Josh Giddey.

An anonymous social media user, whose account has since been deactivated, claimed in a now-deleted post that a girl seen with Giddey in videos and photographs was a high school junior at the time. Giddey, who is an Australian citizen, turned 21 in October.

Michael Bass, an NBA spokesman, confirmed on Friday that the league is looking into the matter. Giddey, when questioned about the accusation during practice, declined to comment further at this time.

Thunder coach Mark Daigneault stated that it is a personal matter and declined to provide any comment.

Giddey, who has been performing well for the Oklahoma City Thunder, is currently averaging 12.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists. The team has started the season with a record of 11 wins and 4 losses.
