Shooting in North Philadelphia Leaves Two Dead and Five Hospitalized
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A shooting in North Philadelphia has left two men dead and five others hospitalized on Tuesday night, police said.
The incident occurred at the intersection of 6th Street and Allegheny Avenue at around 8:30 p.m., according to authorities.
Four men were transported to Temple University Hospital by police, but unfortunately, two of them were pronounced dead upon arrival.
One man walked into Temple Hospital, another went to Episcopal Hospital, and a third man went to Einstein Medical Center, authorities added.
The conditions of the other five men are currently unknown.
Police have recovered several firearms from the scene and it is reported that over 70 shots were fired.
The shooting is currently under investigation.
