Fresh off his third Super Bowl victory and amidst a whirlwind of unstoppable excitement surrounding his personal life, Travis Kelce is venturing into a new realm of stardom. The tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs has officially announced his involvement in the upcoming TV series "Grotesquerie," created by Ryan Murphy of "American Horror Story" fame. As reported by Deadline, this project will mark Kelce's debut as an actor.

In a video shared on social media by Niecy Nash, who is set to star in "Grotesquerie" following her Emmy-winning performance in Murphy's 2022 Netflix production about Jeffrey Dahmer, Kelce confirmed his participation in the series.

At the beginning of the video, Nash teased viewers by asking, "Guess who I am collaborating with on 'Grotesquerie'?"

As the camera moved around the room, Kelce appeared with a beaming smile. Nash warmly introduced Kelce to the project in her post caption, declaring, "This is what happens when WINNERS link up‼️"

In response, the NFL star expressed his excitement about working with Nash, stating that he is "venturing into new territory with Niecy" and "entering a new world with one of the legends" when he shared the video on his own Instagram account.

The news of Kelce's venture into scripted TV came after rumors spread online earlier this year, with an unnamed source telling People that he was considering a shift towards acting. However, even before these rumors surfaced, Kelce had already made moves from the football field to Hollywood.

Kelce made a surprise appearance on "Saturday Night Live" last autumn, sharing the screen with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift. Prior to that, he had hosted an episode of the show, earning praise for his opening monologue and participation in various sketches.

On the production side of the business, he served as an executive producer for the independent film "My Dead Friend Zoe," which premiered at Austin's South by Southwest film festival in April.

"Grotesquerie" is scheduled to debut this autumn on FX. While details about the series remain scarce, Murphy's production company has described it as a "horror drama" in an initial announcement made in February. The announcement included a chilling voiceover clip from Nash hinting at the show's genre. Joining Nash and now Kelce in the cast are Courtney B. Vance and Lesley Manville.
