Serial Killer Confession

Authorities have revealed that a man in central Florida, who recently admitted to killing two women, is now considered a potential serial killer.

Carlos Yadiel Baez-Nieves has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of Fatia Flowers and Nichole Daniels, both of whom were found deceased within a month's time. Flowers was discovered in March, while Daniels was found in April.

Baez-Nieves is currently held without bond at the Orange County Jail for the murder charges, one of which includes the use of a firearm. Additionally, he faces a separate charge for driving with an invalid license, with a bond set at $500. The 24-year-old suspect was taken into custody on Friday.

Sheriff John Mina stated that Baez-Nieves targeted vulnerable women intentionally and is believed to have possibly committed serial killings. Both victims were reportedly sex workers, and their deaths shared similar circumstances. The FBI defines serial murder as the unlawful killing of two or more individuals by the same offender in separate incidents.

Serial Killer Foiled by Detectives

Carlos Yadiel Baez-Nieves was apprehended by detectives before he could escalate his crimes into serial killings. Baez-Nieves lured his victims into his truck, where he sexually assaulted and strangled them before abandoning their bodies at an intersection. Fortunately, diligent detectives intervened, recognizing the value of the victims' lives and ensuring that justice was served.

Preventing a Serial Killer

Sheriff Mina commended the detectives for their vigilance, stating, "I'm confident that through their vigilance in these cases, our detectives have prevented Baez-Nieves from becoming a prolific serial killer." Baez-Nieves specifically targeted women he believed would go unnoticed, but the detectives refused to let their deaths be in vain.

Capture and Arrest

Authorities were able to track down Baez-Nieves after he attempted to sell the truck used in the crimes. The white Ford F-150 matched the description of the vehicle seen picking up one of the victims before her tragic demise. Baez-Nieves was subsequently arrested and is now facing justice for his heinous acts.
