Once upon a sunny day in Florida, authorities found themselves in a wild situation as they wrangled a large alligator that had wandered onto the MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa.
The base released footage on Monday showcasing their "newest toothy Airman" being controlled by two Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers. The clip captured the gator's attempts to break loose multiple times.
Additional photos shared by the base displayed the alligator resting beneath the wheel of one of their aircraft. Following its capture, the nearly 10-foot-long gator was relocated to a "more suitable environment" at the Hillsborough River, as reported by CBS affiliate WTSP.
Base officials mentioned that the commission speculated this alligator had strayed from its home due to another enormous alligator named Elvis, famous for his 12-foot length and presence in the area. In a viral video from 2018, Elvis was referred to as an "absolute monster" and compared to a "freaking dinosaur" while strolling across a golf course at the base.
