Following a period of heartbreak and sorrow, Angel Carter Conrad, the twin sister of Aaron Carter, is opening up about her family's journey and sharing previously unreleased music from Aaron Carter to offer support to others. A portion of the proceeds from "The Recovery Album" will be donated to The Kids Mental Health Foundation.

Aaron Carter passed away in 2022 after battling addiction and mental health issues. The official cause of death, as determined by the Los Angeles County coroner, was accidental drowning in a bathtub following the ingestion of alprazolam, an anti-anxiety medication, and inhalation of difluoroethane, a flammable gas.

This loss added to a series of tragedies that the Carter family has faced in recent times.

Leslie Carter, Aaron's sister, tragically passed away in 2012 at the age of 25 due to a suspected overdose. Just last year, Bobbie Jean Carter, another of Aaron's sisters, died at 41 from a combination of fentanyl and methamphetamine intoxication, as reported by Entertainment Tonight.

In 2022, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention disclosed that close to 108,000 Americans lost their lives to drug overdoses.

A Story of Family, Fame, and Finding the Good

Reflecting on her family's journey, Angel Carter Conrad shared insights into the challenges they faced amidst fame and fortune. She described a time of love and chaos, where money changed the dynamics that once defined their close-knit unit.

Despite the struggles, Angel Carter Conrad emphasized the importance of finding positivity even in difficult circumstances. She expressed a desire to use their platform to help others and learn from their own experiences.

As part of this journey, Aaron Carter's team and Angel Carter Conrad are unveiling his previously unreleased music, marking a new chapter in their story of growth and resilience.

"The fans have been begging for this music, and following Aaron's passing, we organized a charity concert in his honor titled "The Songs for Tomorrow" concert, where we performed 'Recovery'," Angel Carter Conrad revealed.

She shared that during her brother's struggles, she gradually lost hope and turned to therapy for support.

"For many years, I held onto hope, but in the last few years of Aaron's life, I was just waiting for him to recover, and unfortunately, it never happened."

The upcoming release of "The Recovery Album" is scheduled for May 24. To raise awareness, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the nonprofit The Kids Mental Health Foundation, previously known as On our Sleeves.

"The mental health of children is incredibly important, and we aim to build a world where mental well-being is a fundamental aspect of every child's upbringing, which is what I'm striving for with my daughter," Angel Carter Conrad expressed.
