It's not uncommon for rideshare passengers to accidentally leave behind their cellphone, keys, or other common items in the vehicle. However, Uber has revealed that some people forget far more unusual things.
According to the company's latest report, the list of the weirdest items left behind by riders includes a toupee, a live turtle, and a panic button. In addition to these oddities, passengers have also been known to forget larger items like guitars. Uber noted that the most forgetful passengers are from Miami, Florida, and the most common time to leave personal belongings behind is between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m.
If you find yourself in this situation, Uber advises contacting your driver as the best way to retrieve your forgotten items. In case you've left your phone in the vehicle, you can still access your Uber account from a computer and reach out to your driver through the app.
