Known for her 2014 smash "Love Me Like You Mean It," Kelsea Ballerini is getting ready to take on hosting duties at the upcoming CMT Music Awards for the fourth consecutive time. Along with hosting, she has also secured three CMT award nominations, including a nod for Video of the Year.

"This year, I just want to have a blast," she shared. "After hosting solo for the fourth year, I feel like I've got the hang of it. I'm really looking forward to soaking in the moment and celebrating country music."

As she gears up to host solo, Ballerini mentioned that she is aiming to infuse some personal flair into the show.

"There's a great deal of trust there, and it's been a joy to contribute to the script," mentioned Ballerini.

Despite being in a joyful phase of her life, singer Kelsea Ballerini expressed her fondness for crafting melancholic tunes, highlighting her appreciation for the intricacies involved.

"I have a passion for writing sad songs. Even when I'm in a happy place, I can always channel that into a melancholic track," she revealed on "CBS Mornings."

Country music sensation Ballerini is gearing up for the release of a new album, approaching it with a newfound sense of love and happiness. Embracing a more positive chapter in her life, she shared how this personal growth is shaping her music, with a focus on maintaining authenticity.

Reflecting on her creative process, Ballerini expressed, "I've always strived to write about my experiences, but I used to smooth out the rough edges to appeal to a wider audience. However, with 'Welcome Mat,' I took a different approach. It was raw and deeply honest, and it resonated more than anything I've ever released in my career. I'm now navigating this new season of love, happiness, and growth, and it's influencing my music in a profound way."
