Tragic Incident Unfolds During Easter Brunch in Nashville

During the festive Easter brunch at a Nashville, Tennessee restaurant, a man lost his life and five others sustained injuries in a shooting incident, according to authorities.

Amidst the chaos, a pregnant woman was rushed to the hospital due to a panic attack triggered by the harrowing situation.

The violence erupted around 3 o'clock in the afternoon in the Salemtown neighborhood, shortly after the arrival of a male suspect and a female companion at the restaurant known as Roasted.

Metropolitan Nashville Police Department spokesman Don Aaron revealed that a heated argument between the suspect and the deceased quickly spiraled out of control, leading to the tragic outcome.

Residents, like Carly Payne, who witnessed the aftermath expressed shock and disbelief at the unexpected turn of events on a day like Easter Sunday.

Authorities later identified the victim as 33-year-old Allen Beachem, while assuring that the other injured individuals were in stable condition.

Authorities have identified a 46-year-old suspect in connection with a recent incident involving a Mercedes GLS 450 used to escape the scene, thanks to security footage obtained from the restaurant. The search for the suspect is ongoing, with police sharing images of the shooting on social media, including a picture of a man brandishing a handgun.

"The individual with the gun was the sole person involved in the altercation. This was not a shootout but rather a situation where one person chose to use a firearm after a dispute with another individual, resulting in multiple shots being fired," stated Aaron.

During the chaos that ensued inside the restaurant, customers attempted to flee, according to Police Commander Anthony McClain.

"Despite some individuals resisting the gunman," McClain added, "the situation quickly escalated into mass panic."

Investigators are currently interviewing victims at local hospitals to piece together the sequence of events. Aaron mentioned that the incident may have stemmed from a minor altercation between individuals.
