A United Airlines flight bound for Paris from San Francisco had to make an unexpected stop in Denver on Thursday evening due to an engine problem, according to the airline.
As the flight's route indicated it was flying north near the Canadian border, it suddenly changed direction and headed south towards Denver.
Passengers were able to disembark the plane in a normal manner, United confirmed, and stated that they are currently "working with our customers to provide them with flight alternatives on Friday."
The aircraft was carrying a total of 273 passengers along with a dozen crew members.
