Actress Cameron Diaz and her musician spouse, Benji Madden, express their gratitude and joy for the arrival of a baby boy named Cardinal Madden into their lives.
The happy news was shared by the couple through a post on Instagram that they both posted on Friday.
The caption on the post read, "He is amazing and we are all thrilled that he is here! In the interest of our children's safety and privacy, we will not be sharing any photos," and also mentioned that Cardinal is "extremely adorable."
"We are filled with blessings and gratefulness," expressed the post, accompanied by an illustration featuring the words, "A little bird whispered to me."
In 2020, Diaz and Madden had used Instagram to reveal the birth of their daughter, Raddix, stating their decision not to disclose further images or information to safeguard their family's privacy.
In an interview with CBS News in 2022, Diaz mentioned taking a break from acting to focus on other endeavors, particularly cherishing the role of being a mother to her then 2-year-old daughter. She expressed how motherhood has profoundly impacted her, relishing the moments of witnessing her daughter's new experiences, reminiscent of her own childhood joys.
"Every mother experiences that moment when you're observing your child and they're trying something for the first time and you think, 'I remember doing that!' It's truly special," shared Diaz.
Having starred in movies like "There's Something About Mary" and "Charlie's Angels," Diaz tied the knot with Madden, a member of the band Good Charlotte, in early 2015.
Despite reaching out via email, representatives for Diaz and Madden have not responded to requests for comments.
