Subway Switches from Coca-Cola to Pepsi

Subway has made a significant change in its beverage offerings by choosing Pepsi over Coca-Cola. The popular sandwich chain has announced that it will no longer serve Coca-Cola products but will instead switch to Pepsi, marking a reversal from their previous commitment to Coke.

According to the company, Subway has entered into a 10-year partnership with PepsiCo starting in 2025. This new deal will see Subway serving a range of PepsiCo beverages including Mountain Dew, Gatorade, and Aquafina.

"The partnership with PepsiCo is an exciting milestone in our journey to become America's favorite place to eat, drink, and work," said Doug Fry, President of Subway, North America. "It is a win-win for everyone, as it brings a delicious suite of beverage and snack choices to our guests, driving additional consideration of these menu items, while also providing cost-effective, streamlined solutions to our franchisees."

Exciting Changes Coming to Subway in 2025

The iconic Subway chain is set to introduce Pepsi products starting January 1, 2025, across all its U.S. locations. This move comes after a 15-year partnership with Coca-Cola, which recently ended, allowing Subway to bring back Pepsi products to its stores. While Coca-Cola beverages like Diet Coke, Sprite, Vitamin Water, and Dasani will still be available in U.S. menus, Pepsi products will make a comeback in international markets such as Canada, Germany, and the Netherlands. With nearly 37,000 locations in over 100 countries, Subway continues to adapt to meet customer preferences.

The decision to switch to Pepsi was driven by "guest preferences across demographics," according to a press release. The change is expected to bring added value to franchisees, including the provision of new beverage equipment for restaurants.

Subway has also extended its partnership with Frito-Lay until 2030, ensuring that popular snack brands like Ruffles and Baked Lays remain available at Subway locations.
