Breaking News: Missing Wisconsin Toddler's Blanket Found

Authorities in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, have confirmed a significant development in the case of missing 3-year-old Elijah Vue. A red and white plaid blanket, which was discovered earlier in the investigation, has been identified as belonging to the young boy who went missing on February 20.

The blanket was located approximately 3.7 miles away from where Elijah was last seen. This discovery brings new hope and focus to the search efforts, shedding light on potential leads in the investigation.

When Elijah disappeared, he was described as wearing gray pants, a dark long-sleeved shirt, and distinctive red and green dinosaur shoes. The community is urged to remain vigilant and report any information that may aid in locating Elijah.

Authorities are continuing their search for Elijah Vue, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Two Rivers Police Department.

Manitowoc County District Attorney Jacalyn LaBre revealed in a court hearing on Feb. 23 that Baur intentionally sent a child to Vang's residence for disciplinary reasons for over a week. LaBre stated that Baur was fully aware of the harmful tactics used and the lack of care provided to the child, emphasizing that this was a deliberate action on her part.

During the investigation, the police took possession of a vehicle that was linked to the case. The vehicle in question is a four-door 1997 Nissan Altima with Wisconsin license plates starting with "A" and ending with "0." Authorities clarified that neither Baur nor Vang owned the car.

The police department expressed that their focus is on obtaining camera footage from February 19, 2024, specifically between 2:00 PM and 9:00 PM, and not on the current owner of the vehicle.

If anyone has information that could lead to finding the missing toddler, they may qualify for a reward of up to $40,000, according to the police.

Authorities have been on the lookout for Elijah ever since he was reported missing. The Two River Police Department has urged the public to remain vigilant and search all urban and rural areas, including bodies of water, in the hopes of finding the toddler or any clues related to his disappearance. Officials have scoured storm drains, landfills, rivers, and more in their efforts, according to police reports

Elijah's uncle, Orson Vue, shared with WDJT that the family has been emotionally drained by the search operation but has been deeply moved by the support shown by strangers who have organized search parties for the young boy.

"It means everything, to be honest," Vue expressed. "If it was just me and my family involved in this search, I don't know how we would manage. With people from all over the world coming forward, offering their support, their love, it means the world to us, and we are truly grateful for their help."
