Israeli Troops Shoot and Kill Palestinian-American Teenager

A teenager of Palestinian-American descent was fatally shot by Israeli troops in the West Bank on Friday, according to Palestinian officials.

The 17-year-old boy was shot during clashes with Israeli forces, as confirmed by the victim's uncle.

The U.S. State Department spokesperson acknowledged the death of a U.S. citizen in the West Bank and stated that they are seeking more information from the Israeli government to understand the circumstances of the incident.

According to the official news agency of the Palestinian National Authority, Wafa, the boy was shot in the head. The shooting took place in a small Palestinian town east of Ramallah.

Tensions in the West Bank have escalated since Hamas launched a terrorist attack on southern Israel on October 7, leading to the Israel-Hamas war.
