Expert gardener Larry Hodgson explains that while eggs do contain nutrients that are beneficial for humans, they may not provide substantial benefits to tomato plants. He points out that eggs only contain a small amount of the minerals that plants need. If gardeners already use compost and organic fertilizer when planting, adding eggs may not make a significant difference.
