House Explosion in Texas Leaves One Dead and Five Injured
A house explosion in Texas on Sunday morning has tragically resulted in one fatality and left five individuals injured, according to the Rogers Police Department.
Of the five wounded victims, two have been hospitalized for treatment, while the remaining three did not require hospitalization, as stated by officials. The severity of the injuries ranged from minor to major, as reported by CBS News affiliate KWTX.
The explosion occurred at approximately 9 a.m. on West Gulf Avenue in Rogers, which is located about an hour's drive north of Austin. The Rogers Volunteer Fire Department informed KWTX that there were six adults present in the house at the time of the incident. Following the explosion, the house collapsed and subsequently caught fire.
An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the explosion, according to the authorities.
