UN Security Council Votes to Expedite Aid Delivery to Gaza
The United Nations Security Council has made a decision to accelerate the process of delivering much-needed aid to Palestinian civilians in Gaza. In addition, they have demanded the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages currently held by Hamas. The resolution was passed with a vote of 13-0, with both the United States and Russia abstaining.
Prior to the vote, Russia proposed an amendment that was ultimately vetoed by the United States. This decision comes after days of intense negotiations on the terms of the resolution.
