Honda Recalls 2.5 Million Cars Due to Fuel Pump Issue
Honda has announced a recall of more than 2.5 million cars due to a potential fuel pump failure. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has reported that this issue could cause the vehicles to stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.
According to the NHTSA, Honda dealers will replace the fuel pump module in the affected vehicles at no cost to the owners. Customers can also contact Honda customer service at (888) 234-2138 for further assistance. The recall process will begin on February 5, with owners being notified by mail.
This recall comes just one day after Honda recalled approximately 106,000 CR-V hybrid sport utility vehicles due to a battery cable problem that could potentially lead to a fire in the event of an accident. Some CR-V hybrids are also affected by the fuel pump issue.
