Popular Clothing Brands Experience Shipping Delays

Several well-known clothing brands, including The North Face, Supreme, Vans, and more, are informing customers that their orders may not arrive in time for Christmas.

In a recent regulatory filing on Monday, VF Corp., the parent company of these brands, revealed that a cyberattack has disrupted their ability to deliver goods on schedule.

VF Corp. also owns other popular brands such as Timberland, Smartwool, Dickies, and more.

The cyberattack resulted in unauthorized access to the company's IT systems, leading to operational disruptions and the theft of data, including personal information.

Although the retail stores and web shops of the affected brands remain open for business, the company's systems are not fully operational, which could cause delays in order fulfillment.

Customers attempting to place orders on the websites of VF Corp.-owned brands are being notified of anticipated shipping delays.

"Apologies, due to a logistical disruption, the estimated delivery dates shown in the checkout process are incorrect. You will be notified by email when your item ships and can then track it with the shipper," the alert reads.

VF Corp., the parent company of Jansport and Eastpak, has announced that it is taking steps to minimize any disruptions to its ability to serve its retail and brand e-commerce consumers and wholesale customers. The company spokesperson stated that the company's ability to fulfill orders is currently impacted.

With Christmas Day approaching, many deadlines for guaranteed delivery have already passed. However, shoppers who are willing to pay extra for expedited delivery still have time to order goods online or use major carriers in the U.S. For example, the USPS' Priority Mail Express 1-day shipping option allows consumers to mail packages until December 21 to ensure delivery in time for Christmas.
