The Award-Winning Comedy Series "Curb Your Enthusiasm" is Ending
The beloved comedy series "Curb Your Enthusiasm" will be concluding its run after 24 successful years. The announcement came from Warner Brothers-Discovery on Thursday.
Larry David, the creator and star of the show, expressed his thoughts on the end of the series. "As CURB comes to an end, I will now have the opportunity to finally shed this 'Larry David' persona and become the person God intended me to be — the thoughtful, kind, caring, considerate human being I was until I got derailed by portraying this malignant character," said David, who portrays an exaggerated version of himself on the show.
The final season will feature the return of the talented ensemble cast, including Jeff Garlin, Susie Essman, Cheryl Hines, J.B. Smoove, and Ted Danson.
Since its debut in 2000, "Curb Your Enthusiasm" has received critical acclaim and numerous accolades. It has earned 51 Emmy nominations and two wins, as well as five Golden Globe nominations and a win.
The 12th and final season will consist of 10 episodes. The premiere is set for February 4 on HBO and streaming on Max. New episodes will air every Sunday at 10 p.m. until the series finale on April 7.
Larry David, the renowned creator of the hit show "Seinfeld" alongside comedian Jerry Seinfeld, has announced his departure from his current project, "Curb Your Enthusiasm." David served as the head writer and executive producer for the sitcom's first seven seasons.
After a six-year hiatus between the eighth and ninth seasons, "Curb Your Enthusiasm" made a comeback. However, this time, David has made it clear that there will be no further revivals. "Farewell, 'Larry David,'" declared the star, leaving no room for speculation.
In his trademark sarcastic style, David added, "Your misanthropy will not be missed. And for those of you who would like to get in touch with me, you can reach me at Doctors Without Borders."
